Black Lives Matter

This week Stackshare posted a running list of developer tools companies supporting #BlackLivesMatter on Github. Companies like Elastic, Gatsby, Netlify and React Training moved quickly to match donations to organizations doing important work to fuel the potential for change in the United States.

In solidarity with the black community and with the intent of carrying forward the momentum created by the development community at large, Dojo, in partnership with SitePen, will match donations, up to a total contribution of $10,000, to the following organizations:

Black Lives Matter

The official #BlackLivesMatter Global Network builds power to bring justice, healing, and freedom to Black people across the globe. Donate

American Civil Liberties Union

The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union — beyond one person, party, or side. Our mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees. Donate.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Donate.

Equal Justice Initiative

The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. Donate

Match Eligibility

For your donation to be eligible for a match, it must:

  • Be made from your personal funds or a charitable gift fund in your name.
  • Be given to one of the qualified organizations listed above.
  • Include an electronic receipt image that confirms the donation amount indicated in your submission.
  • Be made on or after June 5, 2020.

Please DM your electronic receipt image reflecting the above information to @dojo on Twitter or email it to [email protected].

Once you’re done, please do what you can to learn more about how you can continue to create space and raise the voices of people of color around the world.
